Yoga and Meditation
Yoga is a great practice to do independently or to add to any workout, but yoga can also be used to boost energy, inspire mental clarity, bring relief to, and heal physical energy, and much more. Here at Flow House Holistic, we offer a variety of flows to address movement and fitness.
Vinyasa Yoga is a popular flow is a fast-paced sequence of poses “asanas” and mindful transitions synchronized with the breath creating space in the body and mind, building better stability and connection to breath, and sculpting muscles while enhancing your level of flexibility.
Yin Yoga is a flow designed to flush the meridians using long holds in poses with very slow-moving transitions. Yin is not a flow with cardio as it is slow-paced and focused more on creating space rather than building muscle.
Yinyasa Yoga is a flow combining vinyasa and yin. Poses aren’t held for as long as in a yin practice, but the flow is also not as fast passed as in the vinyasa practice.
SSL Yoga (Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga) is a yoga flow that can be vinyasa or yinyasa and incorporates mantras and chanting into the flows. Some flows are mainly centered around Surya Namaskar (sun salutations).
Functional Movement is a collection of skills used to help create space and bring relief to tension. Thera cane, lacrosse balls, yoga balls, weights, and other tools are used to bring a quality of strength and flexibility to the body.
Yoga Nidra (Guided Meditation) is a state between sleeping and waking. A trances state brought on by following instructions that will induce relaxation and inspire a dive into self.
